Why voice matters
The default Turnless voice is professional, warm, and natural. For most businesses, it works perfectly.
But some businesses want something more personal. A solo operator who's built their brand on a personal relationship with clients. A small team where callers know everyone by voice. A business where the owner's voice is part of the brand.
Voice cloning makes this possible. Your AI receptionist answers in your voice — same tone, same rhythm, same accent. Callers who know you will recognise it. Callers who don't will have an experience consistent with your brand.
How it works
The process takes about 10 minutes:

Record a voice sample — We provide a script of prompts designed to capture the full range of your voice: questions, statements, warm phrases, and business-specific terminology. You record these using any phone or microphone.

We train the model — Our voice cloning pipeline processes your recording and builds a personalised voice model. This typically takes 24–48 hours.

Preview and refine — You listen to sample calls in your cloned voice and can request adjustments before going live.

Go live — From that point, every call Turnless handles sounds like you.
What it can and can't do
Voice cloning captures your vocal characteristics — tone, pitch, pace, accent — and applies them to any text the AI generates. The result is a voice that sounds like you saying things you've never actually said.
What it doesn't do: replicate specific phrases verbatim, or create a perfect copy in every context. Trained voice models are close — often indistinguishable — but there's natural variation.
We don't recommend voice cloning as a way to deceive callers into thinking they're speaking with you personally. The AI should still answer as a receptionist, not impersonate you as a person.
