Setting up appointment reminders

Turnless can automatically send SMS reminders to customers before their appointments. You control the timing, channel, and message.

Where to configure reminders

Go to Outbound in your dashboard sidebar (under AI & Voice). This is where you create and manage reminder sequences.

Creating a reminder sequence

Click "Create first reminder" or "Add reminder sequence". Give it a name (e.g. "24-hour reminder"), then configure the runs — each run is one message sent at a specific time before the appointment.

Configuring a run

For each run, choose the channel (SMS or phone call), when to send it (e.g. 24 hours before, 2 hours before), and the message text. Use variables like {customer_name}, {date}, {time}, and {service} to personalise the message.

Multiple runs

You can add multiple runs to a sequence — for example, an SMS 48 hours before and another SMS 2 hours before. Click "Add another run" to add more.

Enabling and disabling

Each sequence has an on/off toggle. You can pause a sequence without deleting it. Changes take effect immediately.
